DIY watch wristband

I like wearing wristwatches but only if they have comfy bands. Unfortunately they are often not. The most comfortable types of bands I know of is either leather or elastic braided mesh. A handful of sheathed elastic bands are braided into a flexible and very breathable band. You can find many of these bands but they are mostly for "smart" watches. I did manage to find some on aliexpress for my modified Casio F91w. Unfortunately all the models I could find have somehow clunky attachments that connect the watch to the band. They also double the band and then have a part where you can adjust the length that's annoyingly thick. They also need you to slip thought he band with your hand, which is not very comfortable.

The idea is to 3d print new attachment points that are smaller and more elegantly fit the watch. On top of that I'd like to build a magnetically secured connector. I could re-use the bands that I have bought and glue or sew the bands into the newly printed parts.

Idea №12635 is to make the mesh myself using tablet weaving one of the oldest textile productions methods around. This technique can be used to weave very pretty colorful bands and can often be seen at middle age fairs. At one of those fairs I actually bought a kit but never managed to weave more than maybe a meter since I didn't have a good use for the finished band. Maybe with a good application in mind, I could finally reactivate this project.
